Terms of use

Last updated 25 October 2026. This is the same text as in the app.

The service

gowhistle watches the trains you save and sends you a notification when they are delayed, cancelled or change platform. It is free to use.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for the phones that are signed in to it. You can sign out or delete your account at any time from Account in the app.

Train information

Train times come from National Rail Enquiries data and can be wrong, late or missing. A notification can arrive late or not at all, for example when your phone is offline or the data feed is down. Always check station displays and announcements before you travel. Do not rely on gowhistle alone for a journey you must not miss.

Fair use

Do not misuse the service: no automated access, no attempts to get around limits, and no use that disrupts the service for other people. We can suspend accounts that do this.

Changes and availability

We can change, pause or stop the service. When these terms change in an important way, we tell you in the app before the change applies.

Liability

We provide gowhistle "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for missed trains, travel costs or other losses that come from late, wrong or missing information. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under UK consumer law.
